Manchester United are considering the idea of sending defender Eric Bailly out on loan for next season to provide him more playing time, MySportDab reports.

The 26-year-old’s career at United has been affected by months on the sidelines due to various injury problems.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have formed a strong partnership at the back for United’s defence.

According to The Sun, Bailly could get the opportunity to play more regular first-team football in the 2020-21 season by being allowed to leave on loan.

LaLiga club Valencia have shown interest in trying to sign Bailly for next season.

However, United would only prefer to let Bailly leave the club on loan rather than permanently.

The Red Devils extended his contract at the club earlier this season until 2022.

Bailly has played only eight games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side during the 2019-20 season after a bad knee injury in pre-season.

The African made his transfer to Old Trafford for £30m when Jose Mourinho was in charge back in 2016.

Bailly has played 81 matches in four years at United, and scored one goal.

Since the football resumed, he has played only one minute of Premier League action but started in the FA Cup quarter-final win over Norwich last weekend.
