Chelsea winger Willian has admitted that his future is uncertain at Stamford Bridge due to new contract issues, MySportDab reports.

The Brazilian is out-of-contract at Chelsea on June 30 but with the Premier League likely to restart in June a new short contract deal might be agreed.

The 31-year-old is currently linked with Premier League clubs like Tottenham and Arsenal.

Chelsea offered him a two-year contract which is not what Willian requested and could now leave the club on a free transfer.

Chelsea barely offer long-term contracts to any player over 30, despite Willian still being a regular player under Coach Frank Lampard this season.

Willian has played 37 matches across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing six assists.

During his stay at Chelsea, Willian has won two Premier League titles, one League Cup, one FA Cup and the Europa League.

‘It’s a difficult period because Chelsea have offered me two years and that is not what I wanted.. I asked for three years,’ Willian told Brazilian outlet Esporte Interativo.

‘It is a difficult situation. I don’t know if I will stay. My goal is focus and continue working on the rest of the season, so that Chelsea can win more games.

‘I’m focused on the rest of the season that is yet to be completed. It will be difficult to stay. We shall see what happens.’

Willian and some of his Chelsea teammates returned to training this week as Premier League clubs prepared for the June Premier League restart.
