Arsenal Defender Sead Kolasinac’s wife was questioned by the police because she brought a a stun gun into the country, MySportDab reports.

She was looking to protect herself after serious security issues in the past and the new security risk footballers have faced during the UK lockdown.

Bella Kolasinac was there when her husband Kolasinac and Mesut Ozil were attacked in 2019.

She left the UK for Germany and she didn’t know the stun gun was banned in the UK after she returned from Frankfurt this week.

Border officers at London Biggin Hill Airport found the device and she was not jailed but given a caution.

A spokesman for Kolasinac said: “It was a misunderstanding. The stun gun was still packaged and didn’t have batteries.

“Bella also showed that she sent emails to the flight authorities asking if she could import it.

“Unfortunately, she was already in the air with her phone switched off when she received a response saying the device was illegal.

“She didn’t declare the stun gun because she didn’t think it was illegal. These device can be used legally in Germany if the owner has a permit.

“She’s obviously more security conscious after what happened to Sead Kolasinac and Mesut.”

Safety issues for footballers have increased in recent weeks after Dele Alli’s robbery where his watches were stolen.
