OMG! PSG To Offer Neymar New Contract Worth £640k-a-week Until 2025

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer Neymar Jr a new contract worth £33million per year’ to make him stay at the club, MySportDab reports. 

The Brazilian has been linked with a return to Barcelona where played got four years between 2013 and 2017 before a shocking £198m transfer to Paris.

But MySportDab understands PSG sporting director Leonardo will try to tie him to another contract at the club until 2025 with a contract worth £640,000 a week.

The new contract if Neymar agrees to sign will make him closer to two other footballers in the world who earn more than him which are Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Neymar has scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions this season for PSG before the league was shutdown.

His current deal at PSG is worth around £600,000 a week and expires in 2022 but the 28-year-old agreeing to a new contract would finally end rumours of a Barcelona return.

Neymar is currently the highest paid player at the Parcdes Princes, while 21-year-old Kylian Mbappe is next on £375,000 a week.

Reports in Spain in have suggested that Barcelona could try to sign both Neymar and Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.

But the coronavirus crisis has hit the Spanish club hard financially, with players agreeing to a 70 per cent wage cut during the crisis.

Paris Saint-Germain hold a 12 point lead over Marseille at the top of the French Ligue 1 as they aim to defend their title when the season was suspended.

PSG also defeated Borussia Dortmund to reach the Champions League quarter-finals before the shutdown.
