Lautaro Martinez looks set to sign for Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window, after his agent confirmed there is a “very big possibility”, MySportDab reports.

Martinez looks to have made a final decision regarding his future, as the summer transfer window gets closer.

The 22-year-old has been linked with various top European clubs across Europe’s such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

But it appears he has rejected other clubs to join Barcelona.

Martinez was also linked with move in the January transfer window to Barcelona but the Spanish club failed to pay his release clause.

However, MySportDab understands Barcelona have made him their no.1 target this summer, instead of signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.

Barca see Lautaro Martinez as the ideal long-term striker replacement for ageing Luis Suarez.

But Manchester City had hoped to sign him as a replacement for Sergio Aguero and were even ready to pay his full release clause.

However on Sunday, Martinez’s agent admitted he believes the player will decide where he moves to.

When asked about Martinez signing for Barcelona, he replied: “There’s a very good possibility.

“He’s a top player. A quality player, this kid doesn’t have a stopping brakes.

“It’s the player who makes the final decision.

“Messj is there, I think he would want to play alongside the best (player) of all.

“Inter can demand what they want, but the market still rules.

“As always, when European club want a player, they go with everything they can offer.

“Now its not the shirt that’s most important.”
