English Premier League chiefs have announced a decision to suspend the season following the deadly coronavirus outbreak, MySportDab reports.

The English league had hoped to continue but has made a final decision following Arsenal Coach Mikel Arteta and Callum Hudson-Odoi testing positive to the virus.

The football calendar is now in doubt with a number of clubs now quarantining its players.

And now the Premier League and English Football League are suspended until the end of the upcoming international break.

Leicester Coach Brendan Rodgers confirmed yesterday that three Leicester players were in isolation, while Everton and Bournemouth have announced symptoms this morning.

UEFA have also today announced all European games scheduled for next week are now off, which means both the Champions League and Europa League are delayed.

It comes most sports events were suspended yesterday including the ATP Tennis tour, Australian Grand Prix and the PGA Tour.

But the Premier League had planned to battle on following talks with UK Prime Minster Boris Johnson during the Cobra meeting.

However following Arteta and Hudson-Odoi’s situations announced on the virus the league has moved to postpone the season.

The EFL is also suspended and will only resume on April 4 as well, however there are fears the seasons could be delayed further depending on the virus outbreak.
