Basketball Legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna are among nine people who have passed away after an helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, MySportDab reports.
The 41-year-old was travelling on a private helicopter when it crashed down and burst into flames.
The LA County sheriff sadly revealed there were no survivors.
Bryant, a five-time NBA champion played for the LA Lakers all over his career and is considered one of the greatest players in history.
Tributes from celebrities and fellow sports stars have been poured in, many expressing sadness and shock at his sudden death.
Moments of silence were observed at basketball games across the United States.
Bryant was also remembered at the Grammy Awards which happened at the Los Angeles Lakers’ stadium.
“We’re all sad right now,” said Grammys host Alicia Keys.
“Because earlier today America and the whole wide world lost a true hero. We’re standing here heartbroken in the house that Kobe Bryant built.”

In a statement on Sunday, the City of Calabasas said it received the news “with sadness”.
“The aircraft crashed in a remote field off Las Virgenes around 10:00 this morning. Nobody on ground was hurt,” it added.

Bryant played his entire 20-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
He retired from the sport in April 2016.
His achievements includes the two-time NBA Finals MVP and 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player.
He was also named NBA scoring champion twice and an Olympic champion twice.
