Manchester United have offered defender Ashley Young a one-year contract extension to keep him at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
United are trying to chase away interest from Inter Milan as Antonio Conte tries to improve his squad in their bid to win the Serie A title.
The 34-year-old’s current contract expires in the summer and Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to keep a very important player and a crucial dressing room leader.
Antonio Conte is a big fan of United’s captain and did try to sign him back in 2017 while in charge of Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports, Conte is ready to offer Young an 18-month contract deal with the Italian club which has now made United to offer him a new one-year deal.
But, According to Well Respected Sports Journalist Di Marzio, Young has rejected the new contract offer from Manchester united and wants to join Inter Milan.
Young signed for Manchester United from Aston Villa in 2011 and has made over 200 appearances for the club.
Manchester United are expected to sign at least two players in the January transfer window after struggling at the start of the season.
