Arsenal are set to be without Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after their appeal against his ban for his red card tackle was unsuccessful, MySportDab reports.
The Gunners demanded the FA reconsider the punishment handed to their captain following his sending off for a late foul on Crystal Palace midfielder Max Meyer.
Aubameyang was initially shown a yellow card by referee Paul Tierney changed his decision to a red after VAR reviewed replays of the incident.
The Gunners, though, felt there could be some reduction for the three-game suspension.
They insisted there was no excessive force in Aubameyang’s challenge and slow replays made it look worse than it was.
However, the FA has confirmed there would be no changes to Aubameyang’s punishment and he will now miss matches against Sheffield United, Chelsea and Bournemouth.
Coach Mikel Arteta said: ‘It has been confirmed he will be unavailable for three games so we are not going to have him for the next three games.
‘It is a big shame, a major loss for us because we know his intention when he plays but sadly he mistimed the tackle, they have made a decision and we just have to accept it.
‘He was very depressed after the game, disappointed that he left the team short with 10 men on the pitch. It was a  completely accidental incident in my opinion.
‘He play superbly under me, trained well, worked hard, scoring goals and probably the most important player of the team so to losing him is really bad news for us.’
MySportDab understands that Aubameyang has scored 14 out of Arsenal’s 29 Premier League goals so far this season.
