Real Madrid are back at the top of La Liga after a 0-3 win against Getafe today at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium, MySportDab reports.
After a strong start from the hosts Getafe who pressed Madrid as expected but were still failing to take their chances.
Getafe Goalkeeper David Soria gave Zinedine Zidane’s team the opening goal after failing to clear Ferland Mendy’s cross and by miskate diverted it into his own net.
Real Madrid Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois did make some fine saves to preserve Madrid’s lead 1-0 lead till half-time.
In the 2nd-half, Raphael Varane, who was involved in the first goal, scored a crucial second-half header from midfielder Toni Kroos’ Free-Kick to make it 2-0.
Luka Modric made it 3-0, sealing the win for Los Blancos with a tap in after Federico Valverde’s pass in the build-up.
