Bruno Fernandes is said to be angry at Manchester United after the Premier League club refused to pay Sporting Lisbon price demands, MySportDab reports.
Any transfer over the next few days has to be done fast because United have exactly seven days to secure an agreement.
United have failed to agree a transfer for Fernandes after weeks of face-to-face talks with the Premier League club.
But According to The Times, United are not ready to meet Sporting’s valuation of the player, which is around £68million.
A transfer completed to United would see him become the club’s fourth most expensive signing of all time ahead of Angel Di Maria but lower than Harry Maguire, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba.
And with negotiations stalling into the final week of the January window, MySportDab understands that Bruno Fernandes is very angry at the disagreement between United and Sporting.
The 25-year-old midfielder who missed out on a transfer to Tottenham last summer, wants to join United as soon as possible.
Most fans thought Sporting’s match with Benfica on January 17 would serve as his final game for the club.
But Fernandes still played in the defeat to Braga four days later and stormed down the tunnel after the full-time whistle.
Fernandes so far this season has 15 goals and 14 assists after enjoying a fantastic season last term with 32 goals and 18 assists.
Yet United are still unwilling to pay what Sporting Lisbon want for the Portugal international and have only offered £55m.
Manchester United also added unrealistic add-ons to the transfer offer which included winning the Premier League, Champions League and Fernandes winning the Ballon d’Or.
