Arsenal have officially announced Mikel Arteta as their new manager after sacking Unai Emery in November, MySportDab reports.
Arteta did quit his job as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at rivals Manchester City to take get his first job in senior football management.
The former Arsenal player spent three years at Manchester City as Pep Guardiola’s assistant and returns to the Emirates where he spent five years as a player.
The 37-year-old has sealed and agreed to a contract deal of three-and-a-half-year until 2023 worth an estimated £5million a year.

But ahead of the Premier League showdown against Everton Goodison Park, Ljungberg had won only one of his five matches in charge.
After Arsenal made his appointment public, Arteta said: “This is a big honour. Arsenal are one of the top clubs in the world. The team needs to be competing for Trophies and this was my clear vision during discussions with Stan, Josh Kroenke and other top people at the club.
“We are all aware alot of work still needs to be done to achieve that but I’m realistic enough to know it won’t immediately but with this great squad of talent it would still happy but with time.”
Arsenal Chief Josh Kroenke added: “We’re delighted to be bringing Mikel back to Arsenal. He knows our expectations and those of our fans around the world are high and we are confident he can play a lead role in taking the club back to the levels we all demand.
“I also want to thank Freddie Ljungberg for skilfully guiding us through the last three weeks. He stepped up at short notice and has helped us through this difficult period with great professionalism.”
