Manchester City sensation Rodri has sparked a frenzy with a bold admission on potentially returning to La Liga and joining Real Madrid, MySportDab reports.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner and highly-rated defensive midfielder has been strongly linked with a return to the La Liga, and particularly a move to Real Madrid.

Speaking candidly on the potential move, Rodri admitted he would like to return to the La Liga and doesn’t rule out the possiblity of joining Real Madrid.
“I would like to go back, yes. I would like to play in the La Liga and return to Spain,” he said when asked whether he fancies returning to La Liga and Spain.
On speculation whether Real Madrid are pushing for his services, Rodri added;
“Real Madrid calling? I don’t know. They wouldn’t talk to me, they’d talk to my agent.” Should they call, they are not a close door for me.”
Rodri’s admission has further spiked speculations on his potential Premier League exit. He has been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid in recent summers.
However, MySportDab understands he has a year left on his Man City contract and is regarded as key to the Etihad club’s plans under current boss Pep Guardiola.
Nevertheless, his transfer exit this summer is not an impossibility with Guardiola’s future at the club enshrouded in uncertainty.
It is believed Guardiola’s imminent Man City exit may concomitantly ushered in a new chapter in the club’s history, with key names like Rodri taking up a new challenge elsewhere.
