Carney Chukwuemeka has taken the decision of not playing for England or Nigeria after picking Austria, MySportDab reports.
There were initial talks of him weighing his options on which national team to represent as England wasn’t looking at him.
The choice on the table included playing for Nigeria national team as many would have expected to see happen.

However, the player has taken a decision which won’t be seeing him play for England or the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
He had earlier played for England at the youth level which he was expected to transition into the national team.
According to Florian Plettenberg, he confirmed the Borussia Dortmund player has decided to play for Austria.

“Carney Chukwuemeka will represent Austria national football team in the future. A debut could already happen in March.
“Born in Vienna, he previously played for England national youth football teams from U17 to U20 level. Goal: participation in the FIFA World Cup.
“He and Paul Wanner are now eligible to play.
The decision has been made and Carney Chukwuemeka will be playing for Austria national team after pledging to represent them as his countryside when it comes to international football.
