Michael Carrick Makes Bold Statement on EPL UCL Race

Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick has made a bold statement in the race for Champions League places in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

Speaking ahead of United’s crunch tie against Everton, Carrick asserted that his utmost aim is to ensure he qualify the team for the Champions League next season.

“Yeah, it’s good that everyone’s asking that question, you know. It shows that we’ve put ourselves in a good position to start with, I think., He said replied when quizzed of United’s Champions League chances.

“We’re not getting too carried away now, all of a sudden, after a few weeks. I think we know where we’re at. We’re in a good position. I’d still like to be in a better position, mind you, but we’re in a good position, and we’re positive. I think we should be, you know,” he added.

Manchester United are currently fifth on the Premier League table with 45 points – the same point as Chelsea and Liverpool – but have a game in hand.

Victory at the Hill Dickinson’s stadium against Everton will see the team secure a three-point cushion from the seething battle for UCL.

Notably, the Red Devils have been in the form of their lives since Carrick assumed the reins as interim manager, winning five of their six matches, including victories against Premier League heavyweights.

The Old Trafford club will look to maintain this impressive run traveling to face Everton tonight, as well as exact revenge for their loss to the Toffees earlier in the campaign at Old Trafford.
