Manchester City claimed a 2-1 victory against Newcastle United to narrow down the gap on top of Premier League table, MySportDab reports.
Pep Guardiola side claimed three points which puts them just two behind Arsenal who failed to beat Wolverhampton Wonderers.
First Half Report

The game had the attention of Arsenal who were hoping they would see Pep Guardiola side do them a favor by dropping points.
The first 10 minutes was solid with Newcastle United giving a good account of themselves knowing they were equal to the task at hand.
However, Manchester City broke the deadlock in the 14th minute after a wonderful assist from Omar Marmoush which saw Nico O’Reilly made it 1-0.
Jacob Ramsey delivered an assist which saw Lewis Hall leveled things 1-1 in the 22nd minute as both teams pushed on with the match which became more interesting.
Erling Haaland setup Nico O’Reilly in the 27th minute which made the game 2-1 as they carried on until the first half came to an end.
Second Half Report
There was nothing that both teams could do in the match which was already won by the home side after 45 minutes.
They pressed with everything possible but continued failing despite how close they came to making their opportunities count.
