It was an incredible scene at Anfield Stadium between both teams who did so much from their end trying to make things work out their way.

First Half Report 

The match started with expectations of things being closely matched between both teams who provide so much quality.

There was no clear favorite as the match carried on with both teams pushing with everything they have to offer.

No goal as opportunities kept coming and going to waste for both teams. There were some moments in the game which were questionable from both teams.

They couldn’t get any breakthrough as the first half came to an end with Liverpool and Manchester United holding each other to a 0-0 scoreline.

Second Half Report 

Action resumed with both managers making some minor tweaks to their team to enable them get the lead that was needed.

Dominik Szoboszlai scored a beauty which gave the home side the much needed advantage of 1-0 as the match carried on.

Bernardo Silva leveled things with a goal in the 84th minute through a wonderful assist which came from Erling Haaland to make it 1-1.

The game was far from over As Erling Haaland scored from a penalty in additional time to make it 1-2 before Cherki goal was ruled out by VAR which could have made it 1-3.

A late red card for Dominik Szoboszlai saw the game came to an end with Manchester City claiming a shocking 1-2 victory against Liverpool at Anfield.
