Manchester United Open Talks For Barcelona Youngster [Details]

Manchester United have stepped up proceedings to sign highly-rated Barcelona youngster as they look to bolster their midfield options in the winter transfer window, MySportDab reports.

Top midfielders for have been linked to a possible exit from the club this summer, with the Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro among big mentions.

Manuel Ugarte has also been linked to a possible summer exit in the wake of the expected overhaul at the middle of the park, despite having three years left on his contract.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United have opened with Barcelona youngster Marc Casasdo to possibly get a deal over the line for the player and bring him to Old Trafford.

Casado, still nursing his nascent career, has only played a bit-role in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad. He has managed two appearances in the Spanish 2025 Super Cup, 13 in the current La Liga season and four in the Champions League.

Despite his depleted role with the Catalan giants, the La Masia graduate has won accolades for his creative skills and dept in one-on-one situations. Another of his key attribute is his attacking skills and passing accuracy, ranking high among his peers in those two skills.

He is contracted to Barcelona till 2028 and is yet unclear whether La Liga giants will sanction a permanent transfer for the youngster.

However, United are reportedly optimistic of brokering a deal for the youngster, but are also considering other alternatives such as Carlos Baleba of Brighton and Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace.
