Antoine Semenyo was on target again as Manchester City beat Newcastle United 0-2 in the Carabao Cup, MySportDab reports.
The Citizens made light work of their opponent to claim a first leg victory in the EFL Carabao Cup semifinal clash at St James Park.
First Half Report
Both teams were impressive from kickoff which saw them doing more than enough from their end to make something happen.
It was a strong match which provided only fewer clear cut chances for both teams who still failed to make anything happen.
There was a lot that happened but still it was nothing working for both teams who held each other to a 0-0 draw after 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The second half resumed with both managers digging deep to try and find that weakness that would give them the goal.
A good delivery from Bernardo Silva in the 53rd minute saw Antoine Semenyo scored a beauty which made sure it was 0-1.
The game carried on with Ryan Cherki doubling the advantage with a goal in the additional time which was able to make things 0-2.
