Goals from Ryan Cherki and Savinho saw Manchester City claimed a 2-0 victory against Brentford, MySportDab reports.
The Citizens booked their qualifications into the semifinal of the EFL Carabao Cup which they awaits next opponent.
First Half Report
Both teams had moments which they looked brilliant on the pitch. The opportunities came very early but nothing happened with the scoreline.
Brentford held down their defense so well that there was nothing Manchester City could do while things pushed forward.
Ryan Cherki scored in the 32nd minute which saw things became 1-0 between both teams who carried on with more to play.
It was 1-0 before both teams headed inside for the break leaving both managers to prepare for the remaining 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
There was enough firepower from both ends, but it was the home side who did more and were able to make something happen.
Tijjani Reijnders setup Savinho in the 67th minute which saw the advantage doubled to 2-0 as things pushed on at the Etihad Stadium.
