Mikel Merino was on target again as Arsenal claimed an impressive 2-0 victory against Brentford, MySportDab reports.
The Gunners extends their lead on top of the Premier League table as they approach half of the current season.
First Half Report
It wasn’t an easy one for the Premier League leaders who recently came off a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Brentford did well enough holding down their own as the pressure was all over them from their opponent who were solid.
Ben White setup Mikel Merino who was able to make it count in the 11th minute which ensured Arsenal were ahead 1-0.
After the goal, things calmed down a bit between both teams as they tried to find their balance with more left to play.
The first half finished with the Gunners ahead as they did everything possible to make sure they did not conceded.
Second Half Report
There was still more needed from both teams who looked sharp and well organized as they pushed forward.
Bukayo Saka scored in the additional time which saw the scoreline increased to 2-0 with nothing much left to play.
Arsenal claimed maximum three points as they beat Brentford 2-0 to resume with another winning run which was halted by Chelsea few days ago.
