Burkina Faso claimed a late comeback victory 2-1 against Equatorial Guinea in their AFCON opener, MySportDab reports.
It was a game which saw some controversy in decisions by the referee and VAR including a red card which was shown.
First Half Report
There was nothing both teams could do from the first half which saw them pushing with everything they had to offer.
It was an end to end fight but no one could make something happen despite the opportunities that was made available.
The first half was goalless between both teams who tried with all they could to put themselves ahead of things.
Second Half Report
Equatorial Guinea were reduced to 10 players in the 50th minute after Ndong was shown a red card by VAR.
Traore scored in the 70th minute, but his goal was ruled out by VAR before Anieboh 85th minute finish which gifted the Equatorial national team a 0-1 lead.
Minoungou scored in the 95th minute of the match which leveled things 1-1 between both teams as they pressed on.
Another goal from Burkina Faso in the 98th minute through Tapsoba saw the match come to an end with them claiming a dramatic late 2-1 victory and three points.
