Dr Congo booked intercontinental World Cup playoffs spot after beating Nigeria 3-4 via penalty after 1-1 draw, MySportDab reports.
Both teams did well enough but it was always going to be one side who makes it through from the final CAF slot.
First Half Report
It was a great atmosphere in Morocco as both teams did started off so well pushing with everything they had.
Frank Onyeka broke the deadlock after his striker hit a Congo player before beating the Goalkeeper which made it 0-1 in the 3rd minute.
All the Super Eagles of Nigeria needed was to defend well to preserve their lead which was very vital to their qualifications.
However, Mechak Elia wonderful goal in the 32nd minute which made sure the first half came to a conclusion with things staying 1-1.
Second Half Report
It was still more work needed from both sides who want to make sure they got things going with all seriousness.
Both teams did everything possible but couldn’t get themselves ahead until the second half also came to a conclusion.
Extra Time And Penalty Report
Dr Congo had scored two goals which were both eventually chopped off for foul situation leading to the finish.
It entered penalties with Super Eagles missing their first two, but Nwabali was able to save them but making Incredible saves.
However it wasn’t meant to be for Nigeria as Semi Ajayi missed his kickoff before Dr Congo scored to win 3-4.
