Liverpool have announced and unveiled their latest signing Giovanni Leoni who join them from Parma, MySportDab reports.
The defender comes in as another signing for the Premier League Champions in this summer transfer window.
He is a young defender who is already an established player at Parma before making this move happen.
His addition is expected to make competition in the defensive department which already have some big names occupying the available space.
The player agreement cost Liverpool around £35 million which was demanded by Parma who rejected an opening offer which wasn’t good enough for acceptance.
The Premier League side have made the announcement and unveiling of Giovanni Leoni who signed a long term contract.
Here Is What Leoni Said:
“I’m very happy to be here. It’s a really great sensation and I’m honoured to be here,” he told Liverpoolfc.com during his first official interview.
“Yeah, a lot [of excitement]. I’m so honoured. I was very happy [about Liverpool being interested].
“When I saw this I said, ‘Wow, this is crazy.’ I’m very happy.”
He will take over the number 15 shirt at Liverpool and immediately be integrated into the senior team ahead of their next Premier League game after Bournemouth opener today.
