FT: Grimsby 2-2 Manchester United, 12-11 4th Tier Side KNOCK Devils OUT! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Fourth tier Grimsby Town knocked Manchester United out of Carabao Cup 12-11 via penalty after 2-2 draw, MySportDab reports.

It was an incredible game which saw the fourth tier side already 2 nil up after 45 minutes of action for the game.

First Half Report 

It was another harsh reality for Ruben Amorim and his side who struggled despite playing most of their key players.

Grimsby Town took the lead in the 22nd minute after a stunning goal which came from Charles Vernam to make it 1-0.

Tyrell Warren doubled the advantage with another shocker in the 35th minute which immediately saw things carried on 2-0.

The game was in favor of the home team who ended 45 minutes on top 2-0 as they headed inside for a break.

Second Half Report 

The second half changed hands as Ruben Amorim applied a lot of changes to ensure they made a comeback.

Bryan Mbeumo scored his first Manchester United goal by pulling one back in the 75th minute to ensure it was a 2-1 scoreline.

More action saw Harry Maguire leveled things 2-2 with another goal scored in the 89th minute which was enough to hold things.

The second half finished with no winner as both teams had to go into penalties to find who qualifies for next round.

Penalty Shootouts

It was a close one between both teams from the spot as they did scored their first two penalties that was taken.

Bryan Mbeumo missed his spot kick which ensured Grimsby Town qualified 12-11 against Manchester United for the Carabao Cup next round.
