Galatasaray Sign Victor Osimhen From Napoli

After a dragging standoff over deal terms, Galatasaray have finally reached a verbal pact with Napoli to sign Victor Osimhen, MySportDab reports.

The Turkish champions wanted the player on a permanent contract after his superlative loan shift secured them a domestic double comprising the Turkish league title and the Turkish Cup.

However, getting a deal over the line with Napoli was the issue. With only one year left on his contract, Napoli wanted a permanent exit solution for Osimehn to cash in on the player.

We reported earlier Saudi giants Al-Hilal agreed terms with Napoli on Osimehn’s €75m asking price, but couldn’t settle personal terms with the player.

Osimehn wanted to continue his career in Europe and preferably with Galatasaray after he quickly settled with the Super Lig giants from his Napoli misfortunes, but the former needed to get a deal over the line with Napoli.

It is understood they were open to meeting Napoli’s asking price for the player, but stuck on the payment plan, including a sell-on clause.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, both parties have finally agreed on all terms of the deal and are just waiting to exchange papers to finalize the move.

Details of the agreement show Galatasaray will pay €45m as initial fee and then balance the remaining €35m in one year.

Napoli will also earn 10% of future sale profits should Galatasaray decide to part ways with the player and he cannot be resold to an Italian until 2028 simmer.

Osimehn scored 26 goals with 5 assists in 30 Super Lig appearances for Galatasaray last season, including five in 4 Cup appearances to enable the club bag a domestic double.
