FCWC: Fluminense 2-1 Al Hilal, Hercules Winner Seals SEMIFINAL! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Hercules scored the winner as Fluminense beat Al Hilal 2-1 to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup semifinal, MySportDab reports.

It was a hard fought game between both teams who did well enough but it was just one side that escaped with the result.

Both teams had made sure coming into this quarterfinal clash, they were well prepared for anything to happen.

It was tight and close between them as they barely made any attempt as they carried on with the ball mostly played in the middle.

There was so much work done by both managers who knew what was at stake and it wasn’t disappointing from the early minutes.

The game witnessed an opening goal in the 40th minutes which came through from Matheus Martinelli to make it 1-0.

The goal came thanks to Gabriel Fuentes fantastic assist which was the game changer as things finished with 1-0 after 45 minutes.

Both sides looked sharp after resuming the game which saw the Saudi Arabia side pulled back level 1-1 in the 51st minutes.

The goal came from Marcos Leonardo and an assist from Kalidou Koulibaly as they carried on pressing for more.

It was looking balanced until Samuel Xavier setup Hercules in the 70th minutes to restore the Brazilian side lead to 2-1.

There was nothing more Al Hilal could do as the match carried on until the end which saw Fluminense qualify for semifinal after a 2-1 win.
