Tottenham Hijack Race For Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United could now be phased out of the race for Bryan Mbeumo, MySportDab reports.

The Cameroonian forward was top on United’s attacking options for next summer. Personal terms were not a problem as we had on good authorities that the forward was open to the move.

It was initially expected to be another swift sail for United just like the Matheus Cunha deal as they had step up their move for the player.

It is understood the Old Trafford club had tabled a £55million bid fo the West Midlands club which was turned down in hand.

The Bees wanted the same transfer fee – £62million – United paid Wolves for Cunha and have showed no sign of budging in their stance on the transfer fee.

At the time of filing this report, United have yet to submit another offer for Mbeumo and could now be phased out of the deal for the player.

According to The Mail, Tottenham new manager Thomas Frank who joined the club from Brentford is now exploring alternatives to bring Bryan Mbeumo to Spurs.

The Danish gaffer had worked closely with the Cameroonian forward while at Brentford and have enjoyed a warm relationship with the player.

While Mbeumo is still open to joining United, it is believed Frank’s influence could spell a final doom to the Red Devils’ chances of landing the player.

Frank is reportedly ready to lead Spurs to table an offer for the player, but it is still unclear whether they will math Man United’s rejected £55million offer.

Mbeumo scored 20 Premier League goals for Brentford in the just-concluded season and is regarded as one of the most terrific forwards in the English top flight.

Brentford are open to his exit with the player having a year left on his contract but are only ready to do so at the right offer.
