OFFICIAL! Monaco Sign Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba is set to return to footballing action after his lengthy time off due to doping ban, MySportDab reports.

The French midfield sensation had his previously blossoming soccer career under the wires after he came under the weight of doping allegations and then a ban.

Initially hit with a four-year ban, the former United midfielder successfully fought off the duration of the ban and had it reduced to 18 months after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

Now, he is set for a return with French Ligue 1 giants Monaco set to complete a move for the player.

According to Fabrizio Romano, it is a done deal between both parties as verbal agreement has been reached for a two-year contract.

Further details of the report reveal final details of the contract have been sorted and approved by both parties with Pogba’s camp and lawyers now set to check the papers.

He has been scheduled to fly to Monaco in the next 24 hours for his medical and is likely to be unveiled as a new member of the Red and Whites this week.

Pogba’s signing marks the end of what has been his most difficult chapter in his career. Prior to his doping ban, Pogba grappled with niggling injury crises before leaving Manchester United to Juventus.

At Juventus, he could only manage just 53 minutes of action due to injury before the doping ban complicated his ordeal.

Juventus resolved to terminate his contract on mutual agreement due to his injury challenges and the doping ban.

It was initially thought he may likely call time on his career due to the immense setbacks but he had defied the odds to return to his game and will hope to return to top-level performance as he settles for this new chapter in the French top-flight.
