FCWC: Fluminese 4-2 Ulsan, Jhon Arias’ Heroics Fires Big Flu to Group F Top! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

The MetLife Stadium in New Jersey was lit as Brazilian giants Fluminese traded tackles with South Korea champions Ulsan in the FIFA Club World Cup Group F round two fixture, MySportDab reports.

The two teams head into the game with their qualification for the knockout rounds on the line having failed to secure victories in their opening fixtures.

Fluminense played out a goalless draw against Borussia Dortmund in their opening match while Ulsan lost to South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns.

With two matches left in the group stages, they both needed a victory to boost their chances of qualifying for the next round.

Unlike their respective dour openers, the matchup at the MetLife Stadium was nothing short of a thriller from the start.

27-year-old Colombian and Fluminense midfielder John Arias was the star of the show, contributing a goal plus an assist to fire the team to victory.

Arias opened the scoring for Fluminense in the 27th minute but the lead was short-lived 10 minutes later.

Ulsan and South Korean midfielder Lee Jin-hyun scored the leveller for Ulsan, who would go ahead to complete a stunning first-half comeback

Ulsan forward Um Wong-sang scored the team’s second in the final seconds of first-half added time to make it 2-1 at the break.

In the second half, Fluminense fought back relentlessly and found the equalizer in the 21st minute.

In the 83rd minute, J.P. Freytes completed the comeback for the Brazilians and Keno would seal it with a 90+2nd-minute strike to make it 4-2.

Proceedings ended with Fluminense grabbing a dramatic victory to go top of the Group with four points.
