FCWC: Chelsea 2-0 Los Angeles, Pedro Neto STRIKES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Chelsea opened their FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a 2-0 victory against Los Angeles FC, MySportDab reports.

It was a commanding display from the Premier League side who dominated the encounter from start to finish.

The match was expected to be one sided between both teams, but it was so despite the Blues seeing more ball possession.

Los Angeles FC did do well for themselves in terms of matching everything that was thrown against them as things progressed.

The match pushed on well with opportunities from the Premier League team who got close on many occasions but failed to score any.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 34th minutes through a counter attack which saw Nicolas Jackson set up Pedro Neto who made it 1-0.

Neto was able to beat the offside trap before making a cutback sending the defender slipping before a powerful strike beating Hugo Iloris.

Chelsea finished the first half with a 1-0 lead which they struggled to get despite their dominance going forward.

The action for the remaining 45 minutes brought about so much to play between both teams in search of something.

It was still a one sided dominance which the MLS side were unable to contain as they kept on doing more defending.

The Blues pressed more and but nothing happened which led to them introducing new signing Liam Delap for Nicolas Jackson.

It didn’t take long before the scoreline became 2-0 in the 79th minutes through a wonderful goal from Enzo Fernandez who was assisted by Liam Delap.

The Los Angeles team had some moments of their own but couldn’t make it count as Chelsea ended up taking all three points from a 2-0 victory after 90 minutes.
