Cristiano Ronaldo Drops Huge Hint On Transfer Future After SPL Final Matchday

Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted at his transfer future after Saudi Pro League final matchday, MySportDab reports.

The Portuguese attacking sensation and five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be out of his contract with Al-Nassr this summer.

For the third season in a row, Ronaldo ended his Saudi Pro League campaign on a disappointing note, with the team unable to clinch the Saudi top-flight title.

They finished third in the rankings and moreso on a disappointing note, losing 3-2 to Al-Fateh, despite leading 2-1 in the 80th minute.

Notably, Ronaldo, who hasn’t fallen short of his individual brilliance despite Al-Nassr’s not-so-stellar run in the past three campaigns,  scored his 25th goal of the season for the Knights of Riyadh in the 3-2 loss.

This takes his total career goal tally to 800 goals, 200 away from hitting the 1000th goal mark, but it is unclear whether he will keep this pursuit of the legendary 1000th goal mark at Al-Nassr with his contract up in the summer.

Reacting to the Al-Fateh loss, the 40-year-old dropped a huge hint about his future as the summer transfer approaches.

Posting on social media, Ronaldo hinted his chapter with Al-Nassr may be over, but he is intent on continuing to write the story of his career.

“This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all,” he wrote.

While the above tweet still enshroud Ronaldo’s transfer future in mystery heading into the summer, earlier reports suggest he is open to signing a new two-year contract with Al-Nassr.

He has also been linked to a possible move to North American club Monterrey – a transfer that could see him play in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in August.

Speculations are still rife on his next move, but it is understood he wants to continue in top-level to secure his place in what is likely to be his last World Cup appearance with Portugal in 2026.
