Napoli Clinch Serie A Title on Final Day With 2-0 Win Over Cagliari

Napoli were crowned Serie A champions for the second time in three seasons after securing a crucial 2-0 victory over Cagliari on the final day of the 2024–25 campaign, MySportDab Reports.

Heading into the match just one point ahead of title rivals Inter Milan, Antonio Conte’s men knew that a win—or matching Inter’s result—would be enough to seal the Scudetto.

They did exactly that, with Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay scoring in a confident performance. Inter, for their part, beat Como 2-0, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the gap at the top. Had both teams finished level on points, Serie A rules would have required a rare title playoff.

This triumph marks Napoli’s fourth league title in club history and Antonio Conte’s fifth as a manager. Remarkably, it is his first season in charge of the Partenopei, making him the first manager ever to win Serie A with three different clubs—Juventus, Inter, and now Napoli.

Conte’s success is even more impressive considering the squad overhaul. Star striker Victor Osimhen was loaned out, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was sold to PSG in January.

Yet Napoli adapted, with Lukaku netting 14 goals and McTominay enjoying a stunning season with 12 goals, culminating in him being named Serie A Player of the Season.

The leadership of Stanislav Lobotka in midfield and the experience of Italian mainstays like Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Matteo Politano, and Giacomo Raspadori also proved vital.

“We’ve had a really great season,” said Conte post-match. “It’s all thanks to the boys who gave everything. This is a special group.”

Napoli finished the season with 24 wins, just four losses, and the league’s best defensive record—conceding only 27 goals across 38 matches—highlighting the balance and discipline Conte brought to the squad.
