Liverpool have tabled an offer to out-of-favor Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, MySportDab reports.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Premier League champions are intent on signing De Bruyne and have offered him a contract to boost their midfield options.
While details of the contract remain unknown at the time of filing this report, a move to Liverpool could see Kevin De Bruyne embrace another new chapter with a top Premier League side after his spell with Manchester City.
Recall the Belgian midfield sensation will be out of his Man City contract at the end of the summer, and it is understood that the Etihad outfit have decided not to renew his deal.
Hence, he is expected to leave for free at the end of the season after a heroic and illustrious 10-year career with the club.
Meanwhile, MySportDab understands Liverpool are not the only club interested in De Bruyne. He has been linked to a move to MLS or Saudi Arabia.
Gianluca Di Marzio also added that Serie A title hopefuls Napoli are also on the trail of the midfielder and could join the race for his services this summer.
Notably, Kevin De Bruyne has been candid on his future after his spell with Manchester City. He had hinted that he is open to continuing his career in the Premier League.
However, the 33-year-old made it clear that his next chapter will not be a product of his sole decision, but one that will be decided by his family as well.
De Bruyne’s inclusion of his family on his next career stop means he is open to settling for a new challenge in less competitive climes off the shores of Europe.
Nevertheless, it is still unclear whether he is still open to competing in a high-octane and high-tempo Premier League football with Liverpool now beckoning.
