FT: Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 Arsenal, PSG Knock Gunners Out For UCL FINAL! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Paris Saint-Germain claimed a 2-1 victory against Arsenal in their semifinal Champions League second leg, MySportDab report.

PSG secured their place in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League final with a home victory completing a 3-1 aggregate win.

PSG dominated the opening exchanges at the Parc des Princes, stifling the away attempts to replicate their first-leg upset in London.

The breakthrough arrived in the 27th minute when Fabián Ruiz struck a powerful, deflected volley from the edge of the box into the corner, marking his first Champions League goal of the season.

The game was 1-0 with the aggregate further increasing for the home side who kept on pushing as they continued the encounter.

The Gunners responded with intensity but were frustrated by the calm presence of Donnarumma, who blocked early efforts from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

After the interval, the home side had the opportunity to increased their lead, but Vitinha failed to convert from the penalty spot.

PSG extended their aggregate advantage through Achraf Hakimi’s well-taken finish in the 72nd minute which made things 2-0.

The goal happened following a swift counter-attack orchestrated by Ousmane Dembélé before sending the ball to Hakimi.

Arsenal’s hopes were briefly rekindled when Bukayo Saka capitalized on a defensive lapse to halve the deficit in the 76th minute.

PSG’s defensive resilience, led by Marquinhos and  other defenders on the pitch ensured no further goals were conceded.

It ended with the Gunners departing with pride after a spirited display but will rue missed chances and defensive lapses.

Paris Saint-Germain will look to claim the UEFA Champions League title when they go up against Inter Milan who knocked out Barcelona.
