Carlo Ancelotti Breaks Silence on Rodrygo Fallout

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has broken his silence on reports of Rodrygo’s recent fallout with the club, MySportDab reports.

Rodrygo has dominated the headlines recently with reports the Brazilian forward is pushing to end his spell with Los Blancos this summer.

Spanish outlets report that the 24-year-old has asked to leave the club following his diminishing fortunes in Los Blancos’ attacking options.

Speculations on his future at the club came to the head when he shockingly missed the title-deciding El Clasico clash against Barcelona at the weekend.

Close sources revealed he has fallen out with the squad due to the searing influence of Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, hence the decision to stay away and not join the matchday squad for the Barca cracker.

However, Carlo Ancelotti has come out to debunk the reports. Speaking ahead of the club’s match against Mallorca, Ancelotti revealed Rodrygo has a discomfort and had to be left out of the squad for his recovery.

Ancelotti also added the winger was suffering from fever and couldn’t train before the El-Clasico hence he couldn’t be played.

“Rodrygo has discomfort in his leg. He’s sad for that, but there’s really nothing more”.

“He had fever and didn’t train last week so he wasn’t fit. He felt uncomfortable and we wanted to look at it. Everyone loves Rodrygo, especially me,” he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Notably, Ancelotti’s comment may have temporarily drown reports of Rodrygo’s call to exit the club this summer. However, close sources have insisted Rodrygo is not in his best elements at Real Madrid and is open to leaving this summer.
