Amad Diallo Back! Man United Handed Double Injury Boost Ahead of UEL Clash! [Full Details]

Manchester United have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their Europa League clash against Athletic Bilbao, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils will trade tackles with the La Liga side in the 2024-25 Europa League semi-finals on Thursday.

Ahead of the match, they have been handed a double injury boost with key player Amad Diallo back to the team.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed Diallo has returned to United training session and is expected to make Ruben Amorim’s travelling squad for the match on Thursday.

However, it is yet unclear whether he will start the match as he is still under the watch of the club’s medical team.

Diallo picked up an ankle injury in February and was expected to miss the rest of the season before reports emerged he could recover and return before the end of the campaign.

Notably, the Ivorian winger starred for United under Amorim before the injury blow. He is among United’s top six performers this season with six Premier League goals and six assists in 22 appearances.

He also scored twice in the Europa League and found the back of the net in the EFL Cup as well before the setback. His return is a big boost to the team as they prepare to wrestle for their second Europa League trophy and a slot in Champions League football next season.

Additionally, United have received a further injury boost. Matthijs de Ligt, who has missed the club’s last six matches due to injury, is also back in the squad.

The Dutch center-back will also be in contention to return to action in the Europa League tie against Athletic Bilbao.
