The first leg at the Emirates Stadium ended with a thumping 3-0 defeat and the second leg also ended with a defeat.

Goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli saw Arsenal breeze past the defending champions with an unlikely victory at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

Right from the first leg loss at the Emirates Stadium , Ancelotti’s reign at Real Madrid had come under heavy scrutiny.

Some Spanish outlets report that he may be shown the exit door at the end of the season despite having a year left on his contract.

Addressing report of his possible sack following the back-to-back defeat to Arsenal, Ancelotti sound coy on his future while dismissing the chances of being sacked.

“I don’t know if this one was my last UCL game at Real Madrid, and I don’t want to know”.

“We had a fantastic era. We still have La Liga, Copa del Rey and Club World Cup,” he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Notably, Real Madrid have struggled lately under his watch. They are trailing arch-domestic rivals Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title an have now crashed out of the Champions League.

However, Ancelotti still have a chance to boost his chances of continuing in the dugout next season with a possible victory over Barcelona ain the Copa Del Rey final.

Nevertheless, his future remains uncertain for now. It is believed he is likely to be sacked should Real Madrid fail to win the La Liga having crashed out of the Champions League.
