Chelsea In Shock Transfer Swoop For Barcelona Trio

Chelsea are not slowing down on recruiting more talents into their ranks soon as Barcelona have emerged as priority summer target for the London club, MySportDab reports.

The Premier League side have expended millions to overhaul the squad and recruit new legs into all departments, thanks to new owner Todd Boehly’s heavy financial outlay.

While their activities in the just-concluded January transfer window has diminished compared to the previous campaigns, they are set to reignite the spark in the summer with more reinforcements into various positions and roles.

According to Sky Sports, they are now eyeing what will be a historic transfer raid of Barcelona with three key players on their shortlist.

First on the list, as per the report, is French defender Jules Kounde. Kounde is considered inconsequential to Hansi-Flick’s squad plans for Barcelona and could be sold this summer.

However, his future with the Catalan is still uncertain with Barcelona trying to balance needed squad depth with a good financial books.

On the side of Flick, Kounde is said not to be part of his long-term plans and is open to parting ways with the player in the summer.

The other two Barcelona players in the Blues’ shortlist for a summer move is Marc Casado and Fermin Lopez. The two players are considered key to the Barcelona project under Flick.

However, they are not in the indispensable block with the looking still hoping to balance their financial books selling out some players in the summer.

Chelsea wants the duo to boost their midfield ranks and also offer competition for the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, including Romeo Lavia.
