Liverpool have maintained their unbeaten start to the season as the saw off West Ham United to secure there fifth Premier League win in six matches, MySportDab reports.

Liverpool started the game on the front foot as they sought to continue in their unbeaten start to the season.

West Ham United, on the other hand, needed to shrug off the defeat to Manchester City last weekend which ended their unbeaten run as they set out for a clash against the Reds.

It was largely an open game from both ends but Liverpool showed a more intense and clinical attacking prowess when charging forward.

It was not long before the home side take the lead after West Ham conceded a penalty early in the first half due to mounting pressure.

Mohamed Salah stepped up and converted the spotkick with a cool finish to give Liverpool the lead in the 16th minute.

Late in the first half, West Ham pushed against the run of play to score a 42nd-munute equaliser thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s strike.

The two sides went into the fist half break with a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool continued on their dominant display in the second half trying to return to the lead.

After a marathon of pressure, Darwin Nunez hit it exactly at the hour mark to make it 2-1, returning Liverpool to the lead.

West Ham attempted to mount a response after trailing again but were overwhelmed by the home side who stayed atop proceedings with the 2-1 lead.

Late in the second half, West Ham comeback hopes were dealt a final blow as Diogo Jota extended the lead in the 85th minute to make it 3-1.

The match ended with Liverpool grabbing a deserved 3-1 win to continue with their unbeaten start to the season.

They are now two points behind League leaders Manchester City who have won all their six games in the season.
