U20 FT: South Korea 1-0 Nigeria, Flying Eagles Crash Out (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria U20 failed to overcome South Korea as they lost 1-0 on extra time, MySportDab reports.

All hopes for Ladan Bosso and his players came to an end in the quarterfinals of the U20 World Cup in Argentina.

First Half Report 

The first half of the match was one which both countries did well enough but couldn’t make anything happen despite the opportunities.

South Korea did well enough holding down their opponent from making anything happen in the match as they did pushed so well to make something happen but failed.

Nigeria were in no hurry to make anything much happen as they had to seat back and enjoy playing the game and looking to hit on a break.

The game carried on with a lot more happening as they entered the final remaining minutes of the first half which they were still fighting for the opening goal of the match.

Nigeria were disappointed as they headed inside for the break after playing a 0-0 scoreline against South Korea who were excellent in their dealings on the pitch.

Second Half Report

The second half was eventful with both countries putting a good shift in the early minutes of the remaining 45 minutes which was beautiful coming from them.

Nigeria dominated the game but still couldn’t find any way of breaking down their opponent who focused more on their defending than pushing forward.

South Korea kept themselves in the competition despite not being the dominant side as the match continued between the both of them hitting the one hour mark.

They both ended the 90 minutes of the game with a goalless 0-0 draw which didn’t help either of them who wanted to make sure they get the win early.

Extra Time Report 

The first half of the extra time was eventful with South Korea taking the lead in the 95th minutes through a header from Choi Seok-Hyun to make it 1-0.

The Nigeria Flying Eagles couldn’t make a comeback as they crashed out of the tournament by a 1-0 result which push their opponent to the semifinal.
