FT: Barcelona 5-1 Wolfsburg, Women Champions League (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Barcelona thrashed 5-1 Wolfsburg in the first leg of the semifinals of the Women’s Champions League, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half was raining goals at the New Camp as the Women’s team from Spain made sure they got the job done under 45 minutes.

It didn’t took long for Barcelona to score the opening goal which came in the 3rd minute through an outstanding goal for Aitana Bonmati who made it 1-0.

Wolfsburg couldn’t handle the pace of their opponent who continued breaking through as Caroline Graham Hansen increased the advantage to 2-0 in the 10th minute.

It was raining goals nonstop as the match carried on with another one being scored in the 33rd minute of the match through Spain International Jennifer Hermoso to make it 3-0.

The game was already looking won by the home side who didn’t stop by creating more opportunities until World best player Alexia Putellas made it 4-0 for the home side in the 38th minute.

The first half of the encounter ended with Barcelona taking a huge 4-0 advantage into the break against Wolfsburg after 45 minutes of football played at New Camp.

Second Half Report

The second half of the match was good coming from both teams who made it count going forward in the encounter.

Barcelona continued with their dominance making sure they maintain the momentum even with their players a bit out of line as the match carried on.

Wolfsburg pulled one goal back in the 73rd minute through Jill Roord who was able to make the scoreline 4-1 as it progressed.

Alexia Putellas in the 85th minute added another one from the penalty spot which increased the advantage further to 5-1 as it was approaching the final stages.

The match ended with Barcelona strolling with a 5-1 win over Wolfsburg in the first leg of the UEFA Women Champions League semi final.
