Pogba, Varane, Cavani – Manchester United Injured Players Return Dates (Details)

Manchester United injured players return dates to action has now been confirmed, MySportDab reports. 

The Red Devils are planning to return back to football action over the festive period due to the recent Covid squad chaos.

United’s matches against Brentford and Brighton had to be postponed due to the virus.

Now, Ralf Rangnick and his team be back in against Newcastle on December 27 this weekend.

United are hopeful to have a few injury absentees back available for the Newcastle match.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The right-back is likely to be in the squad for the match at Newcastle on the 27th.

A few weeks back he collided with the advertising boards, and was carried off at the end of the Champions League match against Young Boys.

He missed out on the the squad that played against Norwich a few days later.

He got injured in his knee and wrist, although it was not too serious.

Expected Return Date: December 27

Edinson Cavani

Cavani was also expected to return to the squad for the match against Brentford and Brighton after his struggles with a tendon problem.

Also, there is still speculation about his future at Old Trafford.

But, the Uruguayan looks is set to continue playing this weekend under Rangnick.

Victor Lindelof

It’s remains unknown if Lindelof can return to action soon or later after he was taken off the pitch against Norwich with breathing difficulties.

The defender underwent tests after Rangnick and his heart rate was confirmed to be higher than normal.

Expected Return Date: January 5th

Anthony Martial

Martial’s injury situation is not exactly clear due to his knee problem.

He was expected to be on the bench against Brighton at the weekend, having returned back to training.

Having thought the problem is not serious, Martial’s knee is now a bigger concern than first expected, although he is likely to be in the squad in for Newcastle.

Raphael Varane

Having returned to training, the Frenchman could make his return to action at Newcastle.

Varane has been unavailable since his hamstring injury against Atalanta in the Champions League.

Paul Pogba

The midfielder will still remain on the sidelines until next year at the earliest.

He is currently stepping up his recovery by working hard in the gym.

Pogba has been injured since his a thigh issue while on international duty with France in November.

There is no exact return date for Pogba’s return to the Manchester United Squad.
