Manchester United Transfer News: Players Likely To Leave This Summer!

Manchester United are expected to have an hectic summer transfer window at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.

United’s new football director John Murtough is expected to have a big impact with incoming and outgoing transfers.

The Red Devils want to sign a new centre-back and a new striker in the summer window but will remain cautious of finances.

MySportDab understands that if Manchester United sign an expensive striker, they have to go for a cheaper defender.

However, there are Manchester United players that could leave Old Trafford this summer.

United are also expected to sell some players to fund transfer deals for Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils did not sign any new players in the January window apart from Amad Diallo, but Jesse Lingard went out on loan.

Manchester United News

Phil Jones

Jones remans under contract at United until 2023, but he is likely to leave this summer.

With United keen to sign a new defender, Jones leaving would free up £100,000 per-week from the club’s wage bill.

Jesse Lingard

Lingard has impressed on loan at West Ham since he joined the Hammers in January.

He will be out of contract by 2022, and it’s possible that United could sell him this summer.

Andreas Pereira

A lot was expected by fans from Andreas Pereira after he up through the youth ranks, but he has failed to impress with the first team.

He is now on loan at Lazio and has two years left on his contract, so he would be sold this summer.

David de Gea

De Gea remains United’s highest earner, but his future remains uncertain since the emergence of Dean Henderson.

Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with signing De Gea, but there is no confirmation of interest so far.

If De Gea leaves Manchester United, his wages would no longer be a problem and that could be a crucial factor this summer.

Juan Mata

It is unlikely that Juan Mata will be offered a new contract this summer by Manchester United.

The veteran Spaniard is past his prime, and lacks the pace to feature in United’s counter-attacking system.

Mata is out of contract at the end of the 2020-21 season.

Sergio Romero

Sergio Romero is also out of contract at the end of the season and set to leave.

The Argentine goalkeeper tried to leave in 2020 last year, but United decided to keep him at the club.

With his contract due to expire, Romero won’t be offered a new contract.

Edinson Cavani is another player that could leave this summer.
