Goalkeeper Dean Henderson READY To Leave Manchester United (Details)

Manchester United Goalkeeper Dean Henderson is now ready to leave the club at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.

Henderson will try to leave if he’s not given enough opportunity to reclaim his No 1 spot from David de Gea.

However, Manchester United are unlikely to sell him or loan him out in January.

Henderson was not included in the England squad for the third time in a row since he pulled out of Euro 2020 due to a hip problem.

The 24-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 in July and missed United’s pre-season matches.

De Gea has used that opportunity to re-establish himself as the first-choice Goalkeeper after a tough battle with Henderson last season.

The signing of Tom Heaton has further made the goalkeeping situation at Old Trafford more intense.

Henderson would love to stay at United but he is scared staying could ruin his football career.

He has only played once for Manchester United so far this season in the Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham.

He has made it clear before that his desire is to be No 1 Goalkeeper for United and England.

Henderson wants to give himself a chance of being included Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Henderson still has four years left on the £120,000-a-week contract he signed in August 2020.

Despite De Gea’s good performances this season, United are aware that he could get injured at any time and Henderson is the 2nd choice Goalkeeper now so he can’t leave.

Other players like Donny van de Beek and Phil Jones will try to leave the club in January.

The Red Devils are also working to resolve the futures of Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard but they are both likely to leave as free agents.
