FT: Belgium 1-2 Italy, Title Favorites CRASH! (Match Report And Highlight)

Romelu Lukaku scored as Belgium crashed out of Euro 2020 after losing 1-2 to Italy with Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Insigne on target, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter was filled with so much good display of football and goals from both teams who were excellent in the 45 minutes.

Belgium Italy

Italy scored an early goal in the 13th minute through Bonucci but unfortunately, it was ruled out by VAR after review, and the game carried on.

Belgium were poor in defending as the Italians finally scored the opening goal in the 31st minutes from Nicolo Barella who was setup by Marco Veratti to make it 0-1.

Lorenzo Insigne scored in the 44th minute to extend the lead to 0-2 after another good attack saw the away team getting their second goal of the game.

Romelu Lukaku converted from the penalty spot to pull one back for the Belgians which saw the scoreline turned out 1-2 in the 47th minute.

The first half ended with Belgium 1-2 Italy as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the away side.

Second Half Report

The second half wasn’t bad despite how it went down between the two sides who did everything possible to make it go in their favor.

Belgium continued to push forward without Eden Hazard who was injured during their last game against Portugal in the round of 16.

Italy held on to the ball very well as during their process of making sure things go well they had their key player Spinazolla going down injured and was removed.

Nothing coming from both teams as they kept on playing each other man to man with the Belgians looking to come back level.

The match ended with Belgium 1-2 Italy as the Italians continued with their unbeaten run moving into the semi final with Spain.
