“Sign Kylian Mbappe Or Erling Haaland” – Rio Ferdinand Tells Manchester United

Manchester United Legend Rio Ferdinand has urged his former club to do everything possible to sign Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland this summer, MySportDab reports.

Ferdinand believes that signing Mbappe or Haaland would show the club’s sign of intent to win trophies.

The former Manchester United player is confident that signing one of the world’s best strikers would help United back into fighting for the Premier League title.

MySportDab understands that United are also focused on signing another defender this summer.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand praised United’s improvement under Solskjaer this season.

‘Manchester United were never considered to be title challengers last season,’ Ferdinand said.

‘They ended the season with a 30 points gap behind Liverpool, but now they’re above the Reds.

‘That’s a big achievement for the club in terms of overall progress. There is still room for improvement, we surely need to sign a commanding centre back with pace.’

About the attack, Ferdinand added: ‘Yes Cavani is a good player but we need another centre-forward.

‘If someone like Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland are available, you can’t let other clubs sign them, you need to do everything possible to get them here.

‘United had all the superstar players before and those boys now can change the narrative at this club, that’s why you must sign them.

‘There is always room for improvement and the ability to improve this squad, there are players available, it seems. We need to be in the war.’

According to MySportDab sources, there would be a major summer battle for both Haaland and Mbappe from their respective clubs.

Borussia Dortmund are now fifth in the Bundesliga standings, three points behind the top four.

If Dortmund fail to qualify for the Champions League, the club would certainly have to sell the forward this summer.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe is getting closer to the final year of his PSG Contract and if he still refuses to sign an extension at the end of the season, he could leave this summer.

Liverpool, Manchester City, and Real Madrid have been linked with the France international but PSG would demand a fee of £174m for the striker.
