FT: Fiorentina 1-2 Inter Milan, Lukaku Score Winner In Coppa Italia (Match Report And Highlight)

Romelu Lukaku scored in extra time as Inter Milan beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the Coppa Italia after both teams played out a 1-1 draw in regular time, MySportDab reports.

First Half And Second Half Report

The first and second half of the encounter was exciting with both sides showing class as they managed to score one each.

Inter Milan scored the opener which came in the 40th minute of the first half after a penalty was awarded before Arturo Vidal stepped up and converted to make it 1-0.

Fiorentina couldn’t make anything happen before the first half ended with the away side for the day running away with the advantage.

The second half was much different as the home side pulled back level in the 57th minute through Christian Kouame which saw the match tied 1-1.

The 90 minutes ended with Fiorentina 1-1 Inter Milan as they both couldn’t find a winner which led the match to extra time.

Extra Time Report

The extra time was the game decider as the away side proved to be the best team who managed to score one goal.

Romelu Lukaku gave Inter Milan the lead in the 119th minutes of the game after an outstanding goal from the Belgian who made it 2-1.

Fiorentina had some couple of opportunities themselves to make something happen and dragged the game to penalties but failed.

The match ended with Fiorentina 1-2 Inter Milan as the away side advanced to the next round of the Coppa Italia.
