Ighalo’s dream to sign a permanent contract would come to past and his international teammate goalkeeper Ezenwa is not giving up.

Asked about his favourite club on Instagram Live, Ezenwa said: “I will join my good friend Ighalo at Manchester United.

“It is possible but I have always been a Real Madrid fan.”

However, Ezenwa believes Ighalo is one of the most professional footballers he’s ever played with.

“At any training session, he’s always playful and even after all the training sessions, he would still score me,” he said.

Ezenwa has played 21 matches for the Nigeria national team and was part of 2018 Russia World Cup squad.

However, Manchester United have no plans to sign a new goalkeeper due to the availability of options.

David De Gea remains United’s No 1 but his place is no longer safe after impressive performances from Dean Henderson on loan at at Sheffield United.

The 23-year-old Goalkeeper has conceded only 22 goals in 27 matches for Sheffield, with 10 clean sheets.
