The ongoing 115 charges against Manchester City is gradually taking a new turn as the Premier League club are showing confidence of coming out good.
They were found guilty of 114 of 115 charges placed on them by the Premier League and English FA after conclusion of investigation.
However, the club were given fair chance to fight the situation with an appeal which was immediately launched to try and overcome the situation.
With the ongoing, numerous sources have confirmed there could be a harsh punishment served to the club after breaching so many rules.
However, those at Manchester City have maintained confidence and claimed they are innocent of their charges placed on them.
According to Transfer News Live, they confirmed recent update concerning the Manchester City ongoing 115 charges case.
“Manchester City believe they have the evidence needed to overturn their guilty verdict on appeal.
“The club will rely on previously dismissed emails, bank statements, Abu Dhabi government documents and testimony from 24 witnesses as they push for a full or partial acquittal, or a retrial.
“Manchester City believe the Premier League’s case against them lacks concrete evidence, with no direct witnesses or definitive proof of wrongdoing, and relies heavily on leaked emails.
“City also insist the 2020 CAS ruling strengthens their defence, arguing they were not cleared simply because charges were time-barred.
“The club are also unhappy with how and when the Premier League’s verdict was announced.
They are doing everything possible to get the case thrown out as they maintain innocence. If their appeal case fails to work out, there could be some lasting damages done to the club.
Many are calling for them to be stripped off their titles and also be relegated from the Premier League if they ended up losing their appeal.
The case is still ongoing and awaiting final decision to know if it will be thrown out or Manchester City will have to pay and face possible sanctions.
